Responsible Trading

Version 2026-10-25 · Effective 25 October 2026

In short

  • You can lose your whole stake. A contract on an outcome that does not happen is worth nothing.
  • Only trade money you can afford to lose — never money for rent, bills or debts.
  • Tufdog is only for people aged 18 or over.
  • If you want a break or to stop, contact us and we will block your account from trading.
  • Free, confidential help is available — see "Getting help".

This summary is for convenience. The full text below is what applies.

1. The risk

Trading predictions is risky. You can lose all of the money you put into a position, and losses can add up quickly — especially during live games.

  • A winning contract pays $1.00; a losing one pays nothing. The most you can lose on a position is what you paid, but you can lose that in full.
  • Prices move quickly and can be wrong. The chance shown for an outcome is the market's price, not our forecast.
  • Our platform provider's market maker may be on the other side of your trade (see our Terms).
  • Past results do not predict future results. No strategy guarantees a profit.
  • Trading is not a way to earn an income or to get out of debt.

2. Staying in control

  • Decide how much you are willing to lose before you start, and stop when you reach it.
  • Never chase losses by trading more to win them back.
  • Set yourself a time limit, and take regular breaks.
  • Do not trade when you are upset, stressed, or after drinking alcohol or using drugs.
  • Keep trading in balance with the rest of your life — family, friends, work and other interests.
  • Check your balance and history under "My account" regularly, so you always know where you stand.

3. Warning signs

It may be time to stop or get help if you:

  • spend more money or time trading than you meant to;
  • trade with money you need for essentials, or borrow to trade;
  • feel anxious, irritable or low when you are not trading, or hide your trading from people close to you;
  • keep trading to win back what you have lost;
  • find it hard to stop or cut down.

4. Taking a break or excluding yourself

Deposit limits, loss limits, time-outs and self-exclusion are not yet built into Tufdog. Until they are, our support team will do it for you:

  • Take a break: ask us to block your account from trading for a period you choose. We will not lift the block early.
  • Self-exclusion: ask us to block your account for a longer period or permanently. We will cancel your open orders and stop you opening a new account where we can.
  • Close your account: you can ask us to close it at any time.

To ask, email support@tufdog.com from the address on your account. We confirm your request by email and apply it as soon as we can, and no later than one working day after we receive it. During a break or a self-exclusion you cannot place orders or make deposits, and we will not send you promotional messages. A break or a fixed-period self-exclusion ends only when its period has passed; a permanent self-exclusion cannot be lifted.

Withdrawals are not available yet. If you exclude yourself, any positions you hold still settle under the market rules, and your balance stays in your account until withdrawals are available (see our Terms).

5. Protecting young people

You must be 18 or older to use Tufdog. Do not let anyone under 18 use your account or your devices to trade. Device and browser parental controls can block sites like ours.

6. What we do

  • We show a risk warning when you sign up, and in these pages.
  • We never give advice or tell you which outcome to pick.
  • We do not offer credit: you can only trade with money already in your account.
  • We set limits on order sizes and positions.
  • Our staff accounts cannot trade.

7. Getting help

Free, confidential support is available from organisations that help with gambling and trading harm, for you or someone close to you:

  • United States: National Council on Problem Gambling helpline, 1-800-GAMBLER (1-800-426-2537), free and confidential, 24 hours a day.
  • European Union and EEA: the national gambling-help service in your country — your national gambling regulator or health ministry publishes its details.
  • Worldwide: Gambling Therapy (run by the Gordon Moody charity) offers free online support in many languages, and Gamblers Anonymous holds free peer-support meetings in many countries.

Your doctor or local health service can also direct you to help near you. If you are in crisis or thinking of harming yourself, contact your local emergency services now.
